Everyone needs friends, even grocery stores. That’s why we started our Friend of Earth Fare program. Each of our 19 stores selects a local organization to support for a period of three months. These organizations join forces with us in an effort to eliminate childhood obesity by providing and promoting kids health through physical activity, proper nutrition, cooking classes, store tours and food education.

We’re looking for a few good friends to help us bring an end to childhood obesity. Are you a local non-profit organization who wants to jump on board the Earth Fare bandwagon? Do you help kids? If you answered "yes" to those two questions, then head to your local Earth Fare to learn more about how we can help each other help the community. What We Give our Friends!
Our friends become the beneficiary of our award-winning recycling program: Choose or Reuse! For each bag REUSED, we give 5¢ to our friend! And that adds up.
How much has Earth Fare given our Friends?
In 2008 alone, Earth Fare reused over 1.5 million bags and donated more than $150K back to the community.
In 2009, Earth Fare resused over 2.7 million bags and donated more than $275K back to the community.
We Also Feed Those In Need
Every week, Earth Fare donates hundreds of pounds of fresh produce and grocery items to local food banks, shelters and farmers.
