We support local food producers. From ranchers to vegetable growers, from three-acre tomato farms to thousand-acre bison farms, we source the best local products we can find. |
 |
Why it matters:
Supporting local producers empowers the communities where we do business by stimulating economic growth. With the rise of industrial farming, there has never been a more critical time to support our neighboring and family farms. With each local food purchase, we ensure that the money spent goes directly to the farmer.
“Going local” also limits our environmental footprint – transporting produce, meat and grocery items from a neighboring farm is better for the environment than shipping them halfway around the world. Buying local decreases carbon dioxide emissions from trucking and also requires less packing materials. We are keeping our planet healthy while also ensuring that our food is the freshest, most flavorful and seasonal food available.
