Pregnancy
6-12 months
Now that your “oven” officially has a “bun” in it, what’s the next step to making sure that that “bun” pops out healthy? Well, for starters never refer to your baby as a bun. It’s a person, not a dinner roll. After that, there’s a whole host of ways an expectant mother and father can transform nine months of pregnancy into a lifetime of healthy eating!
Pregnancy Health Tips
- Take a natural, prenatal vitamin every day. These aren’t like the delicious Flintstone Vitamins that you took as a kid, but they are vital to giving your baby the proper nutrients.
- Be sure to drink plenty of water. Remember, you’re hydrating for two.
- Eat smart by skipping anything with trans fats. Omega-3 fatty acids help with a baby’s brain development.
- Drink herbal teas to help with morning sickness.
- Provide positive auditory stimulants for your baby like music (avoid heavy metal though – unless you want a rocker baby like Ozzy).
